About this blog

As we move toward offering our first product (not to mention all new products) I wanted a way to keep everyone informed as to where our thinking was at. A blog allows us to keep everyone up to date on new developments, as well as put concepts and ideas out there for direct feedback.

While the primary purpose of this blog is to serve as a means for communicating directly with our customers or potential customers, it is also my personal blog. So, there will be commentary (text, audio, and video based - aka: rich media) on things that interest me beyond the scope of iPresent Communications. I intend on discussing and commenting on a variety of topics including:

  • Trends in the web communications industry and related technologies
  • Observations from the blogosphere and web2.0 technologies
  • The entrepreneurial process of new product/new venture development
  • Articles and tutorials on how certain technologies work and how to effectively utilize varioius web communications tools

This is by no means a definitive list. I imagine this blog will evolve over time. As always, any feedback, product related, blog related, whatever, is always welcomed. Thanks.

    Carmen,

I read on your blog that you use ROR for your web app. Can I ask if you are using a database and if you are what it is? I am developing apps in the dot net framework and using an MVC archeteture called turbogears. It does not offer great support for Microsoft sql server. Does ROR and have you used it for MS SQL. Any information you can provide is a help.

    Thanks,

    Tom
